Let me tell you a story about a little girl who was born with a cleft pallet and hearing problems. She was born 2-22-1979 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She lived with her year older brother, mother and father. Her mother worked at a potato factory peeling potatoes. Her father worked as a cook at restaurant. She was unable to swallow milk without a tube and her hearing was not good. So her mother took her to the hospital for surgery to fix the cleft pallet. Surgery went well and she began to eat well.
The little girls mother was having issues with her father because of his drinking and drugs. He did pay attention to her mother and so she moved to California with her and her brother. She had went to the Army and had the little girls mother and care of her and her brother for 2 years. In that time they had been well taken care of and was feed well. They were so good to her and her brother.
Soon as her mother got out of the Army she introduced her new boyfriend to her mother and quickly moved into a home. She had taken the little girl and her brother to their new home. After living with two grandparents for a couple of years it felt weird.
The little girl noticed that this man was very tall and had a mean deminer to him. She felt scared. I guess she had a reason too, because what happen next changed her and her brothers life for ever!
